About Us
The Simmons family has been performing railroad track construction, maintenance and inspection services in the southeast United States for over five decades. With over 90 years of combined experience Simmons Railroad Group, LLC has the skills and training needed to safely and accurately service a wide variety of tracks including Class I, regional and short-line railroads and all types of private and industry customers.
With this extensive experience in hand Simmons Railroad Group, LLC is able to offer a wide range of services including the repair, maintenance and rehabilitation of all types of timber bridges. We have also been involved in and successfully managed countless new track construction projects.
No matter the project size or scope we consider safety our highest priority. All of our employees are trained in the latest safety techniques and are certified with all industry specific safety training including Roadway Worker Protection and Bridge Worker Safety training. Safety meetings are a staple of our day-to-day activities and we perform job briefings before any work commences on your project.

Big jobs require big equipment. With our hi-rail grapple trucks we can deliver material to the point of installation with incredible ease. It’s available for rental for specialized jobs or use by our crew in large projects to help get the job done fast.
